...or the standard Connect 3D version?

The Connect3D is going for £140 and the HIS version is going for £160. I heard about the Connect3D ones being noisy and the HIS versions being they look a lot better with the LED IIRC?

Talking out of your personal experience or knowledge, is it wortth the extra 20 quid? I'm expecting this card to get me up to atleast a stage after next gen cards are released. Any opinions?

Thanks,
Lonz

You basically summed it up yourself.

If you want a quieter cooler and you like LED's, then it's worth it.

You're basically paying the £20 more for the ICEQ LED cooler.

I've always bought HiS, the build and quality control is top notch and i think the C3D aesthetics with a blocky white cooler and pictures of some animé chic (pardon, i mean Ruby for any ATi fanboys) looks tacky.

So in my view i'd pre-order one now. :)

According to the news section, it should be in sometime this week.

Well if you get the connect3d the stock cooler is quite loud and if you change the cooler you viod the warranty, but if you go for this HIS you get a quiter cooler and warranty-I would go for HIS :) ;)

Hi

Not only are the HIS quieter but also vent the heat outside the case, coz the X1900's run pretty hot. If you have good ventilation then get the cheaper one.
