Hi, My HIS X1900XT intermttently displays corruption on startup. It doesn't happen all the time.
I have taken out the card and re-seated it but to no avail. When it starts OK it runs flawlessly. It only seems to happen after it has been shutdown overnight and not on a restart.
I dont have access to another PC with pci express so cannot try it in another machine or try another card. Any other suggestions?

I get the same thing every now and again....either a blank screen or all messed up, reset system and it is ok, if I don't then the system will reset and windows didn't load properly last time, etc......running the x1900xt to a 2005WFP Dell monitor with a E6700 and 2 GB OZ PC6400 on a MSI 975X PE...I'd love to hear what the problem is as it can be a pain, have to stand over the pc when you switch it on to ensure the bios screen comes up ok.

What bios version are you running on your 975x PUE. I have 7.1 and am running @ stock until the warm boot issue is sorted, as my wife uses it too. Maybe its the MB? Dont have another card to try though.

I have my setup about 2 months and it started that way....moved onto the 7.1 bios which has cut down on this but like I said it turns up now and again...I know there are later bios out there(7.2 for quad core, etc...) wonder if this would put an end to it...

Have you tried the 7600GT in it to see if it is the HIS or the MB at fault?
I've read on these forums that it takes 8+ weeks to get HIS cards RMA'd and as it is an intermitent fault , would the cards qualify.

No havenb't tried the 76GT...apart from this prob the odd time I have both systems running the way I like so don't want to rock the boat.

Just to make things worse....... the fan has started to rattle.
Bit dissapointed having spent a little extra for this brand, and with so many of them being plagued by this fault.
