HIS X1900XT possible faults?

easyrider said:
so what on earth were you posting this for?

Habit! lmao :D

I posted that to let him know about the reliability issue.

The x1900 XT here could be a faulty card as i said, as the x1900's dont have a reliability issue.

thanks for the feedback loads of money

Erm yes i was letting him know before he splashes the cash about the issue, whats wrong with that, would you like everyone just to say 'get one cracking cards nowt the matter with them etc...' say you buy one, turns out to be faulty, so you do some digging around and find out they have issues, would you not think, 'well thanks a lot guys for letting me know about this'.

Thats me done now, baiting is getting you nowhere. :p

hey up,

i have the same problem with my saphire,

also using dual screen,

what have ocuk said?

can you let me know mate,

it is bloody annoying, as i do a lot of rebuilds and re-installs on my rig with beta testing.

Hi. I got my HIS X1900XT yesterday. Have to say it whistles a bit under load. Is this normal? It's not the fan, more like a capacitor or something?

With the amont of power it's draining i'm not surprised

Happened to me on one of my old motherboards once before it died.
Just keep an eye on it, could be nothing, could be everything :(

No it can't be a good sign. Maybe my Tagan 480w is struggling a bit with it. I'm assuming it's the card that's making the noise but i'll have to check it out properly when i get in from work.

ati,

what monitors you using out of interest?

i have 2 x lg 203wt 20" widscreen's running from the dvi cable.

Do you get the issue when using just dvi or vga or both?

Waiting to see what happens with yours before sending mine back

cheers

exactly the same as you mate,

i did reply a couple of posts back lol.

On boot the screens can flicker, have a pink square on them, shift across and so on.

What have ocuk said? have you sent your card back? got it replaced or wha?

Im goning to take some pics of it on my phone, and print them out this eve and take a trip up there tomorrow, i cannot be with out a graphics card so would need to swap it out.

Cheers
