Hows your psu? As in is it powerful enough?

Nvm just saw you have a 1000w psu lol. Hmm not sure so er check chipset drivers, check gfx card drivers, check see if theres a conflict with some other add on card. Check its getting enough volts on the card perhaps. Check for overheating. Try the ati tools fan settings to higher levels etc.

well iv turned up the fan to 100% and im goign to load Lost Coast shortly hoping for the best

I've noticed you have 2 dell 20" screens.

Are you running them both? And if so what res?

Are you trying to push the card beyond the maxiumum res it can handle comfortably?

Also, have you checked the power cables are aligned up right? ie not to much power running off the 12v rails (I've done this with mine :) ) Maybe its taking juice from other essential areas like the CPU or RAM. Basically check the voltages of the otehr components under use to ensure they are getting the required juices.

i run them both at 1650x1080 in windows then turn one off when gaming an run games at 1280x720 this card seems to be doing a lot better played css for 3 hours last night with no problems after turning the fan up to 100 (dam noisy) going to give lost coast a go shortly see how it goes as i think it failed earlier as i forgot to plug in the fdd power connector on the mobo for the gfx so fingers crossed for lost coast :D

i got the HIS 256mb AGP version from OcUK and i've had to rma 2 of them now due to lock-ups or rebooting the pc. Just waiting to hear what happens when they test the latest one i sent back, then hopefully it'll be 3rd time lucky.
