Hissing sound on dialogue?

I just bought a new xtreme gamer sound blaster and I've noticed a lot of hissing in videos when people are talking. Its not my speakers as I get the hissing with my head phones too.

Has anyone had this problem ?

Anyone else getting a lot of hissing in words with s used? Sounds like a snake hissing when someone says anything with the letter s. :confused:

Some games seem to be recorded like this, Doom 3 was one if I remember right.

Some people don't seem to realise that when recording a voice close to a condenser mic you get excessive treble and it needs to be EQ'd, otherwise it'll be like someone talking into your ear rather than to your face.

Actually, games sound fine. Its just when watching videos. Any way to reduce it?
