History folder

I am having a wierd prtoblem with my history folder,i have it set to show history of the last 10 days but now and again i switch my pc on and there is nothing in there.I like to keep the history file so when you type in an address in the bar it goes straight to it but when this happens all the websites seem to dissappear.I also have auto complete enabled.Using IE.

Suggestions please?

probably got an option 'clear history on log off ' or something

Where would i find something like that? Also it doesn't happen all the time.

Has someone else been using your computer to look at naughty web sites and has tried to cover their tracks

Nobody else in the house uses my pc and wouldn't know how to delete the history anyway.
