Hi all, Im so annoyed right now i could punch my monitor! (lol) Long story short back at the begining of april i had an accident in my car.

I live in a quiet cul de sac and as i entered my cul de sac (on the 7th Jan) to my surprise I see a 45 ft lorry coming towards me, now there is a car parked in front of me so I cannot go past and before i could reverse or do anything else the lorry is already going past me, it begins to turn left into the main road and as it does the back end comes out and takes a massive chunk out of my car.

We swap details etc like you do. and i fill in my accident form and send it off, and every week up till now i get a phone call from my insurance company telling me how my claim is progressing and every time I get the same answer, "still waiting for the 3rd party to fill out they're claim form" and apprently there is nothing my insurance company can do to hurry this up as there is no time limit ????????????????????????(wtf) so basicly if they wanted they could never fill out a accident form and that would be that. All they can do is keep chasing it!

I just dont understand how this can be the case, isnt there some law where you have you to fill out a claims form?????? grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Get hold of the manager of the transport company tell them to get the form filled out NOW or you will be starting a civil recovery action within the next 7 days to recover all your losses including those incured taking his company to court.

they will just LOL at you.

you need to contact your insurer unfortuantely, provided you have fully comp, they will find out who the tp insurer is and move it on from there.

No they wont, what do you think insurance is?

Its to insure you against the costs you incur when you damage you or someone elses car, you are liable for the costs no matter what happens, Insurance just bets against you not having an accident and not having to pay your bills for you.

So he is easily in his rights, to contact them and say if they want to go through insurance, fill the forms in, otherwise it will soliciters and court through a civil action.

Its something I've had to do in the past.

tbh op you should have got a third party accident managment company on the case,

with their ridiculous fees it would have been sorted in no time,
