Hi,
Is it better to to do full on sprints for 5 x15 seconds 4 times with a 2ish min break between sets or 2 lots of 5 x 30 seconds.

In the 30 seconds I I'm not able to sustain the full sprint for all of the 30 seconds past the 2nd sprint.

The time is the same amount of sprints but I'm not sure which is the better use of the time.
 
Depends how fit you are, but the idea is to keep the intensity elevated.

i do 1 minute walk (mid range 5.5mph) 30 seconds sprint (12mph) - repeat this for 20 minutes on high incline.

You could try this to build up intensity.

2 minutes walk
30 seconds sprint
1 minute walk
30 second sprint
1 minute walk
30 second sprint
2 minutes walk
(repeat x3)
