Hitman Blood Money problems

I bought Hitman Blood Money for Xbox 360 a couple days ago and I've just got around to trying it out. I put the disk in, go to the dashboard and click on it to launch the game then I get a black screen and a message appear in the middle saying the following:

This game does not support PAL-50. Please change your display setting to PAL-60. To change your setting, in System, select Console Settings, Display.

Then I can press OK and it takes me back to the dashboard. Any ideas? I've got a Samsung HDTV connected to the Xbox via HDMI lead. It's outputting at 720p so I've no idea why it's saying that the game doesn't support PAL-50. I've tried taking the disk out, turning my Xbox off, turning it back on while hold the Y button and the right trigger to reset the video settings but the problem still persists. There are also no options in the display section for PAL settings any more and all the FAQ's and such that I've looked through are from a few years ago and don't make any sense since the more recent Xbox updates.

Anybody got any ideas?

Just go through dashboard options for screen and change it to 50mhz. One of the early NHL games was like that as well.

EDIT - I think your right and took out that option :0

when you go into the x box setting goto change resolution, select your desired resolution then it will display a screen saying can you see this picture ok etc tec hit yes then shortly after another screen will pop up saying the same thing only this time it will be a 60Hz picture. if you can see it hit yes.

If your x box was set to 50hz then it will not play any 60 hz games full stop.

If you can't get to the pal settings, you might have to plug in the composite av cable that came with the xbox then do it. Once it's done you'll never have to do it again.

Try this if no look try component cable

To change the console setting to PAL 60, follow these steps:
In the Xbox Dashboard, select System blade.
Select Console Settings, and then press the A button.
Select Display, and then press the A button.
Select PAL settings, and then press the A button.
Select PAL-60, and then press the A button.
When you are prompted to keep these new settings, confirm the settings, and then press the A button

I've tried this:

My Xbox > System Settings > Console Settings > Display > HDTV Settings: then I have tried Optimal Resolution, as well as 720p and 1080i and all of them give me the same error message. Also it never comes up asking if I can see the picture in 60Hz as when I change resolutions it is already displaying initially in 60Hz and it then asks afterwards if I can also see the picture in 50Hz and if yes to press OK (if no obviously you can't press anything as you can't see the screen).

Those are outdated instructions, the 360 doesn't even use the blade system anymore and in Display there are no PAL settings, only HDTV, Reference Levels, HDMI Color Space, Display Discovery and Screen Saver. My 360 only came with composite leads and they don't have the 50/60Hz switch on them anyways. It's connected via HDMI at the moment.

I'm guessing nobody knows the answer then? :p

Tried this?

Yeah that one worked. I plugged the scart in, then when I went to display options there was a PAL setting which wasn't there when I had the HDMI plugged in. Changed it to 60Hz, unplugged the scart lead and plugged the HDMI back in. Great success!!! :p

Thanks Bigpops. :)

Awesome game if you get into it and play it properly, enjoy.

Yeah I completed it a few times on PC. The only thing that is a bit gay is that there is an achievement for each time you complete it on each of the difficulties, but if you do it on the hardest setting you don't unlock the other achievements below it, which is a bit poo. :(
