So rumour has it an Italian retailer has let slip there is supposed to be a Hitman HD collection coming on October 5th 2012 containing Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman 3: Contract and Hitman: Blood Money.

Could make a lot of peopls day or it could be another HD collection disappointment.

Still will no doubt (if true) be done to boost the profile of the new game.

Must say it's odd having a current game (Blood Money) released as part of a HD pack.

Blood money is the only hitman game I've ever played so would be really happy to try the others. I was bit meh about blood money and played it through once on normal when the 360 came out.

Last year I revisted it for another run through and I adore the game. Some brilliant levels in there and even though you can play the game stealth I did enjoy sitting in the tree house sniping the FBI agents :D

Hopefully this is true :)

Deffo buying it if it's coming out on the PS3, loved Silent Assassin and Contracts, never played Blood Money though.

Purchased Hitman Contracts for the PC when it was released, installed and played about 10 mins - never touched hitman again..

Why? I have no idea I just never got into it, at the time Half Life 2, Doom 3, POP sands of time and Rome Total war somehow managed to steal all my gaming time and Hitman never got a look in : - ) shame as by all accounts the series is meant to be really good.

Great games, I'd rather re-play these on the PC though, never felt like the console controls were quite accurate enough for some of the quick hits you sometimes need to do.

Missing the first game yet again and it's really upsetting my temperament. I know all the bs reasons why they won't include it and don't buy it for a second.

I love the Hitman series, however I think I'm gonna pass on this one.

I tried to replay Silent Assassin and Contracts a few months ago and they felt very dated and clunky. I stopped playing because I didn't want to spoil the good memories I had of them. Going back to Slient Assassin it was quite funny how bad the ai could be at times :D

The AI isn't the best but when I play Hitman it isn't about the behaviour of my enemies, it's about me, and how many different ways I can approach a target. I don't really care how my enemies react because when I play the whole point of it is that they don't get a chance to react. :p

All PS2 versions...

I never played any of the Hitman games properly, I just turned cheats on and ran around killing everyone (this was YEARS ago)

The first time I played blood money as I said I didn't really enjoy it. By the time I got to the white house I'd had enough. So I ran round the corner from the entrance and shot the first guard. This caused just about every guard in the game to file out one or two at a time. I then just walked through the level leaving a pile of bodies at the front door!

:D

If this is true then it answers the earlier question about Blood Money. It was never released on PS3 so maybe this collection is PS3 only? I would hardly call it a collection if there were only two of the series involved. I'm not too fussed about the first game being missing, it was never a console game to begin with, not to mention Contracts having several remakes of missions from the first game. Thank God we won't have to endure the awful jungle mission as well.

By the way, did it annoy anybody else when the developer in the above video kept referring to 47 as "Hitman"?
