Hive v3 or Mini

After some thoughts as we are installing Hive Thermostats and a couple of Rad Valves, I wanted to go down the nest route but due to lack of wiring for the thermostat upstairs and wanting Rad Valves it makes sense to go with Hive.

Downstairs we are going with the normal Hive v3 for heating downstairs and hot water, upstairs I am undecided if its worth paying the extra for another Hive v3 for heating upstairs or save some cash and go with the Hive mini. Looking online it seems the mini has the same functionality as the bigger v3 but it needs to be controlled from the app and not on the thermostat itself. I guess I'm looking to see if anyone has gone with the mini and has regretted it ?

I bought a mini earlier this year and i don't regret it, its worked fine and the only thing i do with the thermostat physically is wake it up to know what the temp is like. I am a set and forget person though, i've balanced all my rads/system so if i set the mini to 21c, then every room that has a rad thats on will also heat to 21c at the same rate. So no one feels the need to change the thermostat ever anyway. Works easy enough with the app to turn it on, off, adjust temp, set schedules etc so i don't feel i've lost out of anything.
