You get what it says on the Steam package, so you will only get those games you have listed. If you purchase Half-Life 2 as a retail package, then CS:S comes with it, but it's Valve's way of making money by not bundling it with Half-Life 2 as standard.

It appears that the Holiday pacakge on Steam does include CS:S, but I don't know if the retail version does or not. Will have a search of the Steam forums.

Here are the only Steam bundles that CS:S comes with:

From the sounds of it on the Steam forums, only the Steam package, and not the retail pacakage contains CS:S. There seem to be two holiday packs from the sounds of it in retail, but niether include CS:S.

Cool thanks for all of the replies! The only reason i would really want to buy HL2 is to play CS:S :D

I was not aware you could buy directly from steam, infact i think i may even have a steam account already

I'l look it up, thanks for your help guys

Just seen the valve complete package - Here

How much is $79.99 roughly translated to the British pound ?

Think i might go for this!

There isn't any other catches is there to play online, e.g monthly payments etc?

Steam has no other charges once you've paid for it.

The complete pack is about £48 (£41 + 17.5% VAT), it's the best value package that's for sure, as it would be difficult to get every game there for under £50 retail I reckon, without having to buy at least 3 or 4 packages.

Whats that when its at home ?
The original Counter-Strike, it's called 1.6 as that was the last major version after Steam came out, and is a good way of differentiating between it and Source.
