HL2 + CS Source

Hi guys,

I have both installed on my PC and Half life 2 runs fine however when I play CS Source all the models are corrupted, with green blue and red blocked colours and you can't see the weapons. Ive read that this could be an artifact problem but its confusing me because I thought that HL2 and CS Source were the same engine? Any ideas on how to sort this? Thanks

Have you tried verying the game cache, keeping it fully updated in game properties? Could simply need a reinstallation?

Also, if you've only very recently installed HL2 (like within the last 24 hours) then maybe your pc hasn't quite downloaded all the updates it needs in relation to CS:S?

Yeah : Steam -> Counterstrike Source -> right mouse button -> properties -> Local files -> "verify integrity of game cache".

have verified game files, defragged them and update drivers. Still no joy. Could there be any other solution?

If verifying game files didn't sort it, then you'll need to delete the CSS content and re-download it. It's definitely caused by corrupted texture files.

Try the same on HL2

It maybe using shared textures.
