I'm at the stage where you first get the car, when the bridge breaks up from the portal storm.

Where do I go when I get in the car I'm stuck.

Please help

Go over the bridge by going to the ladders on the left hand side >>> then put all the cars over to end of the bridge (towards your car) and the bridge will move

Yep, thats the ticket. Grav gun the broken cars to see-saw the bridge the other way around. Then you get to put your car airborne

anyone know why when i jump the bridge and open the door they just stand there? i cant get him to open the gate?

Go back to an earlier save and try again.

ive tried a couple, and verified the game files.

once they come down the stairs they just stand there.

Did you get out of the car?

Quite a few people seem to get problems like this at various scripted parts of the game, I think I had it happen once in the original HL2, and went back to the end of the previous chapter, and it fixed it. Otherwise... wait for an update that might not come? :?/
