HL2 Episode 3

I would imagine the majority of us agree that when EP 3 does arrive, it will be a gaming masterpiece?

VALVE are AMAZING.

I sometimes think they are carrying the PC Gaming mantra all by themselves what with everyone else ******** all over it at any opportunity.

... and yet, he's not entirely wrong.

I used to wonder how anyone could fail to love Deus Ex back when it came out and now I know. No matter how good a game is, it can still fail to cater for some people. I tried to play HL, got bored, tried HL2, got bored (since I never finished HL, HL2 may have been a total waste of time), and so gave up on trying EP2.

I like the 'side' work on the game though. CS, TF, NS, and Portal are awesome for me. HL just doesn't grab me, and I wish it did, frankly :(

Halflife came out less than 2.5 years after Quake, the game engine on which it is based. Valve have also brought out the Orange Box and L4D based on the source engine, Black Mesa hasn't really shipped anything yet.
