HL2 "graph node out of date"

Having trouble with this mod i downloaded for HL2 Minerva: Metastasis, when i start it up it comes up with the message "graph node out of date, rebuilding..." I didnt think anything of it until I got further into the level and Huge floating glowing red objects that read "ERROR" are all over the place, I'm assuming they're meant to be effects that the mod maker made, and theres also the same problem where i come across purple and black checkered squares all over the walls. I've searched all over the internet but all i get is people asking the same question but with no answers. Would be glad with any help. Cheers.
 
sorry mate not sure what causes it but maybe try verify the game cache to see if the install is ok ? .. think you right click on the game title in steam and the option is there, however i have no idea if this will fix it , gl
 
I'm sure I had this error when I played that mod, this was at least a year ago, maybe 2. I can't remember how I fixed it, or if I did.

Do you have Episode 1? Could be errors from that as it is now a requirement of parts of the game. other than, I have no idea i'm afraid.
 
I have, I just updated my drivers aswell as they were Beta beforehand but still no change... come across more problems like no sky and random bits of text appearing all over the place. God Bless Valve and their support.
