HL2: Lost Coast won't start...

Hey guys, I'm trying to play Lost Coast for the first time.

I opened the game and the Valve intro played but it was just black, I couldn't see it, only hear it. The game then minimised and wouldn't load again. Now, every time I try and load it, the Half Life 2 icon appears on the task bar for a couple of seconds then disappears. So... it won't load.

Any ideas?

tried verifying the game cache?

Oh I never knew there was an option for that. Sounds pretty cool.

I'm re-downloading it again as there was no file size next to it on Add/Remove Programs.

It's just a techdemo for some fatures they added to Source years back. Not much of a game in it, but interesting to listen to the commentary.

Yeah I've been wanting to check it out for that.

Still having the problem. The screen just flickers and doesn't start up. It's been reinstalled and verified the game cache.

Is this a known problem? I'll try not to keep this thread open too long.
