HL2/Portal Shortcut Commands.

Hi.
Can anyone tell me the shortcut commands for HL2/Portal to set a specific resolution?

Ive been able to play Ep1 & Ep2 fine, but Portal wont run, it'll load the loading screen, then it'll minimise, maximise, minimise, maximise, minimise, maximise, etc; until it crashes.

Any ideas?

-width xxx -height xxx

but I'm not sure that's the problem. Have this occasionally if I run TF2 and it loses focus while it's loading, but mostly it's fine as long as I don't click on anything till it starts.
You might want to try running with -windowed or maybe -window can't remember which one

i get that issue with TF2 too

last time it happened, i had to close TF2, re-load and when i reloaded all the textures were screwy. Water having no texture, the doors inside the spawn having no texture etc.. and had to reboot

anybody know what causes it ?

I had that happen back in the beta, never had it happen since though
