So, since getting my gaming PC back up and going I've been tearing through HL2. Last time I played it was last saturday and when I opened it up to have another bash at it today, when I go to load game it doesn't have any of my saved games. I deleted the magical blob file which resolves all things steam usually but this didn't help, things I noticed:
1: HL2 is not opening under 64bit mode anymore, I'm assuming if it's opening under 32bit it won't recognize 64bit save files?
2: All my save files are under HL2's SAVE folder, game just isn't recognizing them.
3: All my configurations are saved and I can access all the chapters I have completed.
4: Noticed a thread on the steam forums, a lot of people are getting this problem and they're all people who have played the game in 64bit mode.
I haven't found any solutions or word on what's happened so far, was wondering did anyone here have any ideas?
