Well, I fired this up last night for the first time ever after deciding to make a real effort to stay out of the pub in the evenings (I'm currently living above a boozer while my house is renovated.... Not the smartest move!)
I decided against using Cinematic Mod and was pleasantly surprised at how the graphics haven't actually aged that much (plus I can play 1920x1200 with settings up really high).
OMG How did I miss this first time around? </facepalm>
I'm currently in the Sewer canal place (just after the rocket launcher thingy).
Thanks to the peeps that convinced me to buy this in a Steam sale ages ago!
One thing though, I'm a bit confused story-wise, especially with all the other-dimensional creatures being around; probably because I completed the first HL about 10 years ago and my memory is hazy.
