Hmm looks like AMD are playing the name game again

I thought the 50 at the end of the name was to make it easier to identify a B3 stepping?
Either way, good news that they'll have a CPU out that doesn't suffer from the TLB bug. Should make them a bit more of an attractive purchase and will no doubt help in the OEM sector.
 
hope amd get back on their feet soon, they've been good to me over the years, recently had to stab in them the back and get a q6600 though :s
 
I just ignore names (and to some extent specs on paper) now and look straight for benchmarks based on the software I want to run. CPU's used to be relatively simple but that's changed now. At the moment it's motherboard specs I find baffling.

I've been very careful about all hardware since my local LAN Cafe 'upgraded' all their machines from Geforce Ti4200s to Geforce FX5200s. Learn from other people's mistakes - that's my motto...
