Hmm, what's this "mode?" on my alarm?

Found this out today, if I activate the alarm and press the alarm button again my indicators flash 3 times and the alarm stays on as normal. I just don't understand what that means, the manual says nothing and I can't find anything on it. Let me explain clearer with a quick vid.

1: press button, alarm arms & doors lock and indicators flash twice to show alarm on, led on drivers side turns on then 1min later led starts to flash and ultrasonics activate (tested using an open window + hand)

2: Press button again immediately after pressing as in step 1 and indicators flash another 3 times rapidly and step1 is continued from this point

3: Press alarm once more and alarm turns off, doors unlock and indicators flash once for a longer period (normal off)

Anyone have any idea why it flashes 3 times if I press the button shortly after arming the alarm? :S

Do you have internal movement sensors? It probably turns these off so you can leave an animal in the car or the top down on a convertable

It probably turns off the internal sensors, so you could leave a pet in the car and the alarm would only trigger if a window was broken, door opened etc.

Aha I didn't try that! I don't have a pet but I will use the little brother to find out soon :O

could also be deadlocks, someone may smash a window but the doors are nto able to be opened from inside or outside untill deadlocks are deactivated

I can't see if there are any deadlocks but I've now finished my wedding work so will have a test of the above 2 now!

ok, just tried it out and yes it turns the sensors on the inside off!
