Ive been having problems with my system on counter strike source. I have the game running at 1680 by 1050 with max ingame settings (16x aa and 16x af) and the game runs with fps like this at all stock settings :

and i get an extra 10fps or something with my cpu at 2.7ghz. surely this cant be right for this system to run at those frames ??

Counter Strike isnt that demanding mate, i use to run max settings with my X1800XT 512mb with 6xmsaa and 16xaf and have a steady 60fps on all maps

Yes. i have installed latest chipset drivers for my motherboard. I have just formatted my pc and installed 97.92 nvidia drivers.

go into the driver control panel and depending if your using the classic control panel or the new one find the setting for multiple display hardware acceleration mode...

in the new control panel go 3D Settings->Manage 3D Settings->Global Settings->Multiple Graphics Card Acceleration::Single Display Performance Mode

in the old control panel go to performance & quality settings->Hardware Acceleration::Single-display mode

I get 60fps which is because vsync is on. It runs amazing :D . It never goes below 60 even on 32 man servers on counter strike source

Sounds the business. Glad it's all sorted out. :D

Try and disable vsync and see what your unlocked FPS is?. I'm interested as I'm getting g80 soon.

Just noticed that lovely city you're from ;) .
