Didn't know where to post this :p

People are always saying be careful with your components make sure to ground yourself etc to avoid ESD and that one of the components most easily damaged by ESD is the CPU, so why oh why does the box my nice new i5 2500k come in have a window at the top so people can poke the CPU

Edit: why would my iPod want me to groin myself, quite clearly this high tech equipment must know that groun is closer to ground than groin(in this context anyway) Stulid give me your iPad so mistakes like this don't happen again:rolleyes:

The chances of statically damaging pc parts is very very slim. Though id rather pay a fiver for a anti static band and be extra cautouis than another £250 for a new motherboard or gpu. I always thought of the cpu to be the most resiliant to it??

Failing that build naked...im sure the girlfriend will love it
