HMRC CDs

Encrypt them well, torrent them and extort the government for millions in return for my silence :p

I saw this article on BBC News and I got talking with a friend who said that if they found the discs they would take a copy before claiming the reward and handing them in. I asked him why, and he said that he wouldn't sell it on or anything, but obviously liked the novelty of having everyone's details.

I said that he has no legitimate use for them and it'd only lead to problems.

So what would you do? Keep a copy in the archive or be honest?

Burnsy

if u made a copy then your braking the law i would think
it should come under the data thingie act

but me i would hand them in after having a good look of couse lol

well, without bank details that data is worth $1 per record - $2 with, so I'd probably sell it

make a copy, get the government reward then sell them on the black market, I'd then go to live in panama and claim to have amnesia.

job done

ive got them and have hidden them in a scooch album case. no one will ever look in there.
