Who remembers hogs of war

i think that has got to be the best game for the ps1

how much do ps1's go for there days would love to play a few old games

There's one on ebay at the moment with 14 games for circa £18. Some of the console/game packages go up to 50 quid and beyond, though. Depends what's in the package.

You can't argue with some of the deals on ebay when it comes to nostalgia! £15-£18 quid for a PS1, controllers and a load of games is hardly reason to run out and buy a PS3 :p

Ive heard that all the games were supposed to be backwards comparable but a few friends have told me that some games work and some dont.

Im a pc gamer so buying a new console would be a waste of time

Hogs of War was amazing. Me and my friend used to be massive Worms fans, so when Hogs of War came along it was like heaven. It had great gameplay and good humor. Fond memories :)

We used to play 4 player and we played who ever died first made a brew. So what we did was all leather a lad called Ryan lol he never even got a go and had to make a brew ha ha

Can anyone remember the title of a game for the ps1. It was a turn based strategy game. The maps were grid based. You aquired more players for your 'team' as you progress. Each member had varying degrees of mobility and different attack/defence strengths. You had the opportunity to upgrade the different characters down different class paths. One of the players was called Cliffe (I think).

That's probably a poor description tbh. I think it's quite a rare game as I've never come across it since I rented from my local video shop about 10 years ago.

Quite a rare game. Wouldn't say it was unpopular, it's just there was so much to choose from on the ps only idiots like me that bought everything have it, along with those that loved the genre... not so willing to give it up.

I don't have it, but the sequel is a harder find.

If you like it, check out the psn if you're on ps3... they released a 3rd game for a tenner last year, it's more of the same simple turnbased.
