Hmm , I was worried about that. I've really no interest in reading the books or watching the movies , was hoping that I wouldnt miss out on too many references but sounds like I'll miss a lot. I'll factor that in on any decision to possibly buy.
I'll be getting it and will let you know my thoughts once I'm part way through.Hmm , I was worried about that. If its a good game then I can overlook the need to be invested in the World of Harry Potter and enjoy it for the game that it is but if its just an average game unless you're into Potter then I'll give it a miss and focus my February gaming time on Dead Space, Returnal , Sons of the Forest and Company of Heroes 3. I'll wait for some feedback from fellow OCUKers once the game is out and see what the thoughts are on itAlthough if you've never had an interest in Harry Potter I doubt the game will do anything for you. To be honest what I've seen so far is pretty much par for the course. Nothing ground breaking.
It's all just for wallowing in the lore for me.
But maybe the game will be the best thing ever (I doubt it though) and I'll still get it (listening to the film soundtrack as I write this )
The films are very good, you've nothing to lose by watching the first one.Hmm , I was worried about that. I dont do too well with films and tv shows with children in, I always seem to end up getting annoyed by feelings that they are precocious, I'd probably end up after 30 mins wanting to punch Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe or Rupert Grint in the face, or possibly 2 of the 3The films are very good, you've nothing to lose by watching the first one.

I see that Stephen Fry narrates the audiobooks, I like Fry so that might make them far more tolerable, so I could do that maybe.Just read the books, they're far more interesting.
Totally, I am currently listening to the Half Blood Prince in the car, you learn so much more than in the films.I see that Stephen Fry narrates the audiobooks, I like Fry so that might make them far more tolerable, so I could do that maybe.

The films are entertaining, you should watch them.
The first 2/3 aren't great, the acting does improve though.I recently sat through the first two films in preparation for this game.
The acting was so awful I couldnt manage anymore.

That made me chortle far too much.I couldn’t get into the movies at all, they were just unrealistic.
Who would believe a ginger kid had two friends.
