Hiya

Just in case you missed it:

The operator of 8chan says the bandwidth of millions of Hola users is being sold for reuse, with some of it even being used to attack his site. Speaking with TorrentFreak, Hola founder Ofer Vilenski says that users' idle resources are indeed utilized for commercial sale, but that has been the agreement all along

I think its because of this:

Update: It appears that Hola only recently changed/edited their FAQ to add in the details about Luminati. We have asked the company to tell us exactly when those changes were made. Updates when they arrive.

I guess many users didnt really fully understood consequences of using Hola - like their bandwith being sold to anyone for example

Bump:

My Netflix account was "hacked" recently and the email address/password used for my Netflix account made available online after installing this - perhaps a coincidence, but regardless I've uninstalled it and won't be using it again.

If you've used it, do a Google search for your email address in quotes and see if you get a result from a page titled "Premium Netflix Accounts" - I haven't clicked through to the page (not sure if it's secure), but the search result shows my email address and the correct password (which was only used for Netflix).

So really it can only be this plugin or Netflix itself has been hacked.

I use Hola latest version 1.8.702 from Chrome Webstore worked fine and it not been hacked. Also logged in Netflix fine so it not been hacked either.
