hello and all that, how is everyone?

pretty new to custom pc's but since i'm in the process of talking myself round to building one as opposed to getting a ready-built i thought i'd join so as to drink from the fountain of dutch courage. or alternately, become so discouraged i get a 10'' netbook.

looking forward to picking brains and/or being called a know-nothing retard.
