Because you've picked August - never, ever go on holiday in August unless you have school age children. Return flights in September start at £374 each. BA direct is £495..

Unfortunately August is the time of year we have to go. Both work in schools. and are contractually required to work term time and not allowed to book time off outside of that time.

So we have to pay the silly prices. We are aware that a 2k holiday can be had for 1k or less if we don't go in August..
