Hi all,

Going to the states in 6 weeks and still have mountains to do and just need a couple of questions answering and something else verifying:

Virgin Atlantic state the following regarding baggage:

Two pieces of luggage per passenger, each weighing up to 23kg (50lbs). When added together, the three dimensions of any piece of luggage must not exceed 158cm (62in).

Economy and Premium Economy passengers may take 1 piece of hand baggage on board. Individual dimensions not to exceed 23 x 36 x 56cm, (approx 9 x 14 x 22 inches) and 13lb/6kg in weight.

Am I correct in thinking that this means I can take take a total of to bags for the hold with a max weight of 46kg? and that carry on is considered seperate?

Also, I had no idea they where still being so fussy about carry on liquids :(

Can I pack my DLSR in my carry on? don't want to risk it with the baggage handlers.

Also, I need to arrange travel insurance, any suggestions on where to look?

Yes, thats right 2 bags weighing up to 23kg each and a carry on that is seperate.

I packed all my cameras and stuff in my hand baggage it just depends on weight really although ive never had my carry on stuff weighed before.

I pick up travel insurance from moneysupermarket.com (Don't think their a competitor but i'll remove if it is)

thanks.

Just another quick question.

As it is our honeymoon the other half will have a different surname, although this won't be on her passport when we are away. Am I better off putting her maiden name on the policy?
