Holiday ideas

Seychelles - Amazing hotels, beaches, diving, culture and you can pop over to the Praslin and La Digue islands with the Valée de Mai nature reserve, a Unesco world heritage site.

I proposed to my Fiancée in one of the secluded rocky coves on Anse source de A'rgent beach - obvs she said yes.

I am actually tempted to visit that place if I'm ever really bored one weekend, just because it has been spammed as a comment so often in these threads...

anyway another suggestion for the OP (haven't been here but it is one for the bucket list)

it seems to tick some of your boxes, they're seemingly big on the eco side of things and they've gone for more modest buildings rather than the mega villas you'd find in other places, it is an 800 acre private island which is mostly nature reserve though so you're not going to be getting a variety of restaurants! Then again I'm sure you could spend some time back on Grand Turk in a regular resort/hotel too.

If I were in your position I'd be looking at 2 x 6k holidays and get twice the amount of experiences?

I'd highly recommended Riviera Maya in Mexico plenty of nice resorts that suit all budgets with the options to get out and about inc snorkeling with turtles at Akumul, xcaret park, maya ruins and the cenotes being just some of many things to do

Serious suggestion...

Get on a flight to New Zealand (Or Sydney OZ), then get on a cruise around New Caledonia & Vanuatu. We did a 10 night cruise and experienced the whitest sand and clearest seas i've ever expeienced, i experienced a desert island, swimming with marine fish & turtles, it was paradise. We visited Port Vila, capital of Vanuatu, with Iririki island, which is surreal, as they had a tropical cyclone in 2015 which devastated the city, and there is still signs of ruin, but it's largely been rebuilt. We saw so much, I really can't wait to do it again, the exact same cruise. I am in the process of creating a video for youtube, but i've been busy at work again, i'll link it when i do it.

That's pretty awesome, though if I went to Vanuatu I think it would be quite fun to go to the island which worships Prince Philip as a God (Tanna)

Yes, i'd have loved to see more of Vanuatu actually, we only went where the cruise took us lol. It exceeded my expectations though, luckily for me, i'm only a 2 hour flight away :D

Malaysia has Taman Negara (national park) for your rainforest needs and a number of islands with great beaches. Perhentian is renowned for good diving. Also some excellent food available, particularly on Penang which serves up great Peranakan food (Chinese - Malay fusion).

Malaysian Borneo (Sarawak and Sabah) is also a good shout.

I was going to suggest Malaysia too, it's close to my heart and has avoided the heavily tourist downfalls of some of SE Asia. You've got rainforest, city, beaches, all within driving distance. I'm going at the end of the month with a car hired from Singapore.

My only suggestion would be there's absolutely no reason to spend 15k on it. As someone else said, I would split that find and do two trips.

I'd also massively recommend China, though you won't find 'paradise' in the traditional sense.

I am going there in October/November, cant wait.

Not interested in theme parks or the USA

Doh was going to comment based on the thread title alone.

Then I read this...

Orlando regular here.....so zero help.....

Although we did do Mexico a a few years ago and that ticks a few of your boxes.

Kenya, lovely beaches and do a safari (Masai Mara & Serengeti)

Yeah Safari was brilliant, went in 2005, always wondered what it would be like now, since they had that trouble, they had some serious riots and killings due to elections shortly after and also terrorist attacks, not sure I would want to go back now.

OP, thought about Canada, Cuba or Sri Lanka.
