Holiday in August

Hi all

Would you go on a family holiday of 4 to Tenerife this August for 14 nights even though there is planned strike action at Gatwick. How bad will it be at Gatwick ? The reason why I'm asking is that the wife is nagging me to go away this summer.

Why would you fly to tenerife when there are major issues with flights and its going to be as insanely hot here?
