A few months ago my friends decided that they were going to go to Florida at the end of August because flyGlobespan were doing cheap deals on package trips. At that time I could not afford to go, but since then I have come into money which means I now have enough to go with them.

However, now they have booked where do I stand? Could it simply be a case of booking a flight + transfer to their hotel as Americans charge on a room basis rather than per person and we will still be under the max occupancy of the room? Or will I have to pay the full package price for one room if I am to go with them ( I really want to avoid)?

I've already emailed the hotel as a general enquiry, but I just wanted to know what everyone here thought or if anyone else has been in this situation?

I agree with Gilly. If it was part of a special offer then they might be a bit arsey about some randomer coming along and asking if they can mooch in on the offer.

Then again Americans are all about customer service and satisfaction so you may well be pleasantly suprised.

I think the special offer was more being run by the tour operator than the hotel, hence why I'm trying to bypass Globespan :P .
