34 days but as i work 5 on then 5 off (or 4on 5off) this makes for a silly amount of holls ,but people tend to take full months off
Sorry bit more info, I know lots on here do ad-hoc work or on call stuff which normally means you get days in lieu which would equate to over the normal amount.
At the start of this year I had 50+ holidays to take, I cashed some in and still had 40 odd days left to take off which more days in lieu coming (various things)
Now my problem is on the few days I've taken off this year I have had to do work inbetween holidays, answer emails/check and issue reports/generally pick up work as the other person who does the same job in the office (only two of us) is at full capacity and then has to pick up my work load, thats where the guilty feeling comes into it (and vice versa but as he is contract and I am staff I can take a lot more holidays than he can).

That's a decent allowance..![]()
How do people get holiday to carry over??

28 but you have to accumulate them over the year, it's something like 2.5 days per month, which is annoying because if you want 4 days off you only get half of time paid.
If they gave you 28 at the start of the year it would be a lot better, I lost £300 out of my wages just because I booked 4 days off in February (got paid today) I normally get £1200 per month but only got £900 this month because of their stupid system, can't even argue it until I see my payslip
I think I get around 3 months a year holiday but only get 4 weeks paied. I guess I lose a fair bit of cash but do not really care.Right,
How many holidays do you get to take at work? And if you get over the normal amount, do you feel bad taking multiple extended periods off even when things are still busy where you work?
Cheers.
