In Winter '10/11 yes but not in '11/12 which is the mildest Winter I've known.

To contradict though, I was paying £49/month dual-fuel in '10/11 but £72/month in '11/12 despite less usage for the latter milder Winter, so I don't know what happened there. I submit my meter reading most months.

-16 in lincolnshire recently... not what i would call mild!

Our gas bill was £460 + £128 for electric for the same period and that was a considerable saving on last year due to new insulation.

I had a estimated bill through for £500 on gas, updated the readings to find out i was £60 in credit, get in

This is why I submit meter readings online every month. Pay what you've used, no nasty surprises, catch ups, or lending the gas company money.

Just my one bedroom uses about 6.5KWh of electric a day, and this is in a 5 person house Then there’s everyone else’s stuff an electric cooker.. I daren't think about the total cost

Can't believe you used 700 units of gas in a month!! I have a 3 bed house a gas cooker and central heating and I used 84 units over 2 months!!! What have you got on for gods sake?? I assume you have your heating on a timer so it only comes on when your in the house right?? Damn I am amazed at that amount used lol!! Unless thats the stupid calorific number they calculate on the bill and not the actual meter reading? I hope to god thats the answer lol.

We don't have gas, just coal. £240 per ton, will last 3 months over the winter, on 24/7 for hot water and heating, 15 radiators. Summer will last 5-6 months.

I may have mentioned before but what the heck. I get free gas as the meter has never been registered
