Home Assistant beginners

Their buttons, sensors and lights tend to be pretty good in my experience, especially for the price (even more so if they are massively reduced!)

Blimey £400 on what ?

What ikea Zigbee devices do you lot have ?

Very impressive. I've checked stock levels and for what appears to be left, I can't be bothered to drive the ~ 1 hour to get to my nearest ikea but the price for the buttons and bulbs definitely is worth grabbing.

I need to go to Ikea anyway, but probably not until Monday now. If there's anything left I'll pick up anything that might be useful. I'm pretty well covered for Zigbee stuff across the house anyway.

Yeah I'm pleased with my haul, I'm going to be busy trying to get new bits integrated now that's for sure :D

Hope you guys get some goodies

Just finished setting up 3 of the water leak sensors with push notifications and battery alerts. A bit fiddly to connect them to HA as you have to keep triggering the sensor to keep it awake long enough to finish connecting. I now need to find a use for 2 motion sensors..

My SMlight SLZB-06Mg24 has arrived, can I have two ZigBee coordinators in HA at the same time as I'm wanting to change the channel the easiest way will be to remove each ZigBee device from the old one in turn and they should be seen by the new one then.
I'll just set it up on the garage for now then I'll run a cable somewhere central when I have the time.

Yes you can BUT each controller has to be tied to a different Zigbee “server”. In my own case I was moving from ZHA to Zigbee2MQTT so I plugged in the new coordinator, hooked it up to Z2M and the proceeded to remove devices from ZHA and add them to Z2M. I did this over a day or two.

If you want to have two coordinators linked to one instance of ZHA or Z2M then you’re out of luck. It’s probably possibly but likely to be painful.
