Im looking at surround sound for my new TV i have a budget of about £500.
The all in one packages are really tempting for me as i have no audio knowledge at all, however a friend said it is more practical if i build a custom system as its more future proof.
With my limited funds i was wondering weather to get an AV reciever and then just shove my dismal DVD player on that with the TV OR a DVD player with a digital decoder for my speakers and i should be able to route my tv through this? Or a multimedia centre thingy
As speakers go i have no idea on how much of my £500 should go on this as i dont really know the quality gradient between the prices.
Any advice on products, websites and tips would be greatful!
