Home automation with Alexa

I'm smartening up my home. I've decided to go with Alexa as my "Smart home" platform. There are some nice Amazon devices I like the look of and their dashboard looks pretty good too.
Has anyone got any experience with the dashboard? / Any comments on it?

Also - from googling, I was unable to confirm whether you can have thermostat integration into the dashboard aswell - is anyone able to confirm?

I can confirm that a nest thermostat works with Alexa, I set it up last week.

Are you able to control is by the dashboard, specifically?

You have to enable the nest skill in the Alexa app, there is a rudimentary temperature control in the app once done if I recall from last week. I can't confirm that for certain as I'm not at the setup right now and wont be for another week.
