I'd like to demo some mid to high range soundbars, does anyone know any retailers in the North East who have good demo rooms or policies on demos? (Other than Richer Sounds)

Buy a yamaha and buy the most expensive you can afford. Stick to the YSP range and stay away from the YAS range.

I've owned two yamaha soundbars and miles ahead of others in terms of quality.

No they won't beat a separates system but they were never designed to replace them they are for people who cannot have or don't want separates.

I have the YSP-1400 but I'll probably buy an even better one after I've had this for a couple of more years.

Yeah Sonny, likely going for a YSP2500. Had a full 5.1 previously but live in a semi, neighbours were always complaining and it was frustrating not being able to properly stretch its legs. Figured the soundbar will be a compromise

Take a look on avforums classifieds.

Guys on their always upgrading, that's how I got my YSP 1400 for the same price as my brand new yas 101.

When it's time for my next upgrade I'll be keeping one eye on their classifieds for a month or two hoping for one to pop up.

Just auditioned the ysp2500 literally 5mins ago in Richers demo room; blown away and far beyond expectations. Going to get one ordered
