Home cinema - Projector, PS4, what else?

Can anyone provide some advice on what else I need for a home cinema setup?

I'm hopefully picking up a projector tomorrow and I also have a PS4 for the Bluray, streaming and a bit of gaming. However, I need to know what else is required. Can I just get a 5.1 speaker system and plug this directly into the PS4? Or do I need one of those AV receivers? Does the PS4 plug directly into the projector or does this also need to pass through a receiver? I could do with a diagram or something.

Any help and also recommendations on kit would be awesome. Cheers.

I have a PS3 and projector.

To connect up:
- If you have an AV amp, connect a HDMI cablem from your PS3 to the AV amp. Then a second HDMI cable from the AV amp to your projector. Job done
- If you're using a non-HDMI capable AV amp, connect the PS3 directly to the projector using HDMI, then a digital (optical SPDIF) from the PS3 to your AV amp

AV Receiver with HDMI in/out would make your life a lot easier

ps4 can plug into projector but typically you want it to go into av receiver (amplifier) with speakers connected to av amp.
