To be fair, when I was watching a film last night (top gun maverick again - seems a good demo film) turn the volume to -25db to -20db it was ok, sounded good and detailed enough to hear some real fine detail

Will keep trying. Have some Polk XT90 atmos speakers to try from a friend so will connect those up over the weekend to see what they add

That and wait for an update from Apple to their TV box to add bitstream. Sounds overdue from comments online

Yeah Maverick has great Atmos sound and makes full use of height speakers if you have them.
Where are you going to position the Polk XT90, on top of front speakers or (much better) high on the wall, or (even better) on the ceiling?

I've had the 3090 and the 3010 and they're are a great budget speakers and centre. A1 Acoustix will definitely get the best out of them and the 3050.
