Right guys and girls

Im looking to purchase a home cinema system for my tv but as this is in the same room as my computer i was also looking to allow my computer to use the system when the tv was off.

Could i use this system and what would i need to do to connect it up if i could. If i couldnt is there anything out there that i could buy instead for a similer price.

My computer does have a soundcard if that helps
 
this might be me being stupid here but what is an avr??

and im only trying to use the homecinema as surround sound for the pc not for HD video.
And to its full potential for the tv
 
the system will connect to the tv via the hdmi slot from the blue ray player as tv wont play in 5.1 normally, what im asking is how do i get it working on the comp


also have vigin media tivo if that helps
 
Have looked onto richer sounds and cant see the item that u have described

But the sony system that i showed at the start has got 2x hdmi slots and 1 x hdmi out slot + an optical slot
