Bought a Logitech Driving Force Pro from a well known website and paid a couple of quid extra for First Class delivery at the weekend. The website itself said that the wheel would be delivered on Monday, i've sat in my house twiddling my thumbs for the past two days (thank god i'm on easter holidays so i have the ability to stay in the house) and not a sign of it.

It appears the website uses HDNL for it's first class shipments, so i looked on their website and according to the information given by my tracking number, they haven't even picked the item up from the websites warehouses yet.

This was mainly a rant, but there are one or two things i wouldn't mind some input on. Firstly, has anyone ever tried to follow up orders with HDNL using their tracking number system, is it generally kept up to date, are they so slack that it's taken 4+ days to even collect the item, or is my wheel probably going to arrive tomorrow despite what the system says? Also, would i be within my rights to demand a refund for my First class delivery costs, considering it was ordered on Saturday and it looks like it won't be delivered till Wednesday at the earliest, or am i just being an impatient nancy?

Cheers :)

I ordered an item and it was sent via them. Although delivery was free the item arrive a day later than expected. I checked the retailers website for an update on delivery as I found HDNL's website slow to update

i used to work for a carrier management team for a mail order company. If you dont know what i mean, im the peron you'll speak to if you report that percel missing/late to the person you bought it from

I used to deal with HDNL everyday, chasing customer queries, submitting them etc.. The system is all electronic. If we want to know the whereabouts of a parcel, then we sent an electronic query. This was e-mailed direct to the depot managers and they got back to us within 12 hours so we could then get back to the customer

Sounds like the fault here isnt HDNL, its the person you've bought it from. You've paid extra for quicker delivery from despatch to your door, but they dont appear to associate this extra cost with any improved response in getting your parcel ready. I very much suspect HDNL havent collected it yet, because your retailer hasnt got the parcel ready for collection yet. HDNL collected from our place 3pm every day.

I had the same problem as you, no record via the online tracking and after waiting a few extra days than the delivery date they inform me that the it had been lost by HDNL.

Hopefully you have better luck.

Just a quick rant.

Turns out HDNL have in fact lost the package. I rang the popular online site who very kindly offered to resend it and refund me the postage costs wasted on first class delivery. Obviously i accepted, and the guy told me i should expect the wheel in 1-2 days (more like 5-6 due to bank holiday weekend, but ho-hum, can't be helped).

I then checked my account to make sure everything was there, which it was, with one small problem. The item was now out of stock, the estimated delivery date was (keep in mind i was meant to receive it on monday the 17th of march) the 17th of May... a whole 2 months late.

Obviously i have now canceled the order and hate the popular online site i ordered from with all the bile i can muster.
