Bigger box!
Moving in to a new build in December, looking for some stylish furnishings....

If you simply google 'home furnishings' you get a ton of crap so I'm after your recommendations.
Any hidden gem websites out there?

I'm a single bloke so my tastes a fairly plain and minimalist.

I like Dwell and there are a few bits on Achica I like too.

I need most things, sofas, cushions, a bed, bedding, ligthing/lamps etc, so any similar sites would be greatly appreciated.

I particularly like this sofa, and I'm probably going to go with the standard Union Flag cushions so that might give you an idea of my tastes.
I'm very open minded though so suggest away.

Specific items or similar websites to the above please :)

But seriously, I get that cushions etc aren't something blokes are any good at buying, hence me asking, but girls are genuinely more likely to wriggle on you if they come over and your place is nicely decorated.... and they like cushions!!

Edit: and lamps etc are waaaay better than just having the bright oppressive room light on.

Do you have any lassie pals?

Alternatively find pictures of a room that fits your 'wriggle' style and copy it.

As an aside, do you find picking clothes to buy/wear/match difficult?

Clothing, no, and it's not so much me having trouble picking the things I like, but more finding websites that sell the things I like.

Very little on Ikea I like, plus it's cheap and you get what you pay for.
Places like DFS etc are a bit naff, not much in there that interests me.

Where do you stay? I'd just go for a wander round the more expensive shops on the high street. I typically don't buy off the internet, certainly not furnishings so I can't help there. Plenty of plush places in town to go looking for here.

I'm right near Bluewater, so there's a Dwell and a John Lewis there. Both OK to have a butchers around but I'm not moving until December and I'm not desperate to buy stuff now.

Just sitting around in my pants of an evening looking for ideas for the new place....

why not ask someone you want to wriggle with to go shopping with you. they love spending other peoples money.

also you could get her to test the wriggleability of anything you buy;)

Whatever you do, stay away from Dwell. As fas as I know, they've gone into administration. We bought a dining table from them and waited months for it to turn up, eventually cancelling our order. They were decent about it and gave us a loan table, but still, their customer service is shocklingly ****.
