Home Guest Network

Hi all,

I want to add a guess network at home which will allow guests to access the internet but nothing on my network.

I have a UniFi Pro AP which has the options for a guest network with portal and user group to restrict bandwidth etc (there is also an option to set the VLAN ID for the guest network). I also have a server running 2012 r2 which handles DHCP. Our Internet Router is a Billion 7800N.

Now, I have managed to set up the guest SSID and limit the bandwidth to it, however obviously at the moment any client on it gets an IP from the 2012 r2 server so is able to access my network. How can I get clients connected to the Guest SSID to pick up an IP on a different subnet so they can't access my network?

What is the best way to do this? A new scope on the DHCP server and VLANs? I have dabbled with them slightly before but forgotten most of it. Obviously they all need to access the internet through our router which is on 192.168.1.1.

Thanks

Ali
