Im moving back to my place in a few weeks back and want to get setup at home.

Ive got a nice big garage with a concrete floor so no worries there and im trying to do this as cheap as possible as its going to be hard enough adjusting and just getting from month to month to start with.

Im planning on trying the 5 X 5 program and have been looking at

I know everyone recommends a full rack I just dont have the funds for it at the moment alternatively are there any other suggestions?

inb4PS!

The bench is good, we have one in our unit.
The squat stands are good also, especially given the price that they are.

Have a look in the home gym thread for more stuff :)

I have the CF335 package (got it for £200 last year).
The CF334 is basically the same thing without the leg/preacher attachments and I doubt you could do better for the price unless you put that £200 quid towards a proper gym membership.

If you can spare a little extra, how about something like this?

how often do you train and how long have you been lifting for?

take a look through this thread

if money is an issue i wouldn't compromise on quality or a full rack tbh, i would rather go second hand or join a gym.

or just buy a gym membership and save up for a proper setup.

it looks like you haven't even though about rubber matting which is essential imo if you want your equipment to last as well as your concrete floor, especially when dead lifting.

matting can easily add another £100 on top of what your looking at for example.

then are you going to stick to SL 5 x 5 forever? or will you start doing isolated work which requires dumbells, etc.

what about cardio? etc.

honestly i think a gym membership offers you a hell of a lot more. it's far more sociable as well to meet like minded people, you get literally thousands of different pieces of equipment to choose from, etc, etc.

also what would happen if you failed a lift whilst squatting in that setup? think about it
