Home Hub 3 Dropping WiFi

Hi,

My Home Hub 3 keeps dropping WiFi connectivity to all devices, the light stays blue but once it does this the devices wont reconnect until the Home Hub is restarted or reset with the button on the back using a pin. After a while it will drop connections again at which point the devices will reconnect until it drops again a few hours later.

I have googled but only come up with resetting as above.

Has anyone else had this issue? Its just started doing this after 3 years without any problems with WiFi connectivity

Thanks

All the time. I got sick of mine, tried everything, then bought an Archer D5. Just installed, and so far so good. Very easy to setup. There are loads of options at various price range, of course, but I'd consider buying a dedicated ADSL router to replace that piece of crap. It's real easy to do, took me 10 mins.

I'll put the D5 through its paces, and report the experience later :)

There is a ~25 page thread on the BT forum regarding issues with the HH3 and wifi which, for some reason, has started affecting people who previously had no issues since the start of the year. I suggest that the OP gives it a read.

I complained and complained and then complained some more.

1 HH3 swapped, some more complaining

They then sent me a HH4 and I am sort of happy.

I did buy a Netgear router to replace the HH4 as I do like MAC filters, however the wifi was/is rubbish so still on HH4.

Yeah its still doing it, I've figured out I can just flick the channel everytime it does it without having to reboot it and everything will connect to that channel before it drops everything again.

I should be moving house in a few weeks so I'm just going to put up with it for now, thankfully to an area covered by Virgin

As soon as the date changed to 2015, these HH3's just went down hill. Apple users no longer can use AirPrint like they used to, dropping wifi connections and fiber connection speed dropping to half the speed of your upload speed.

Ditch the thing and pay bt £70 for a HomeHub 5 which could make things worse or buy a new brand.
