Hi Guys.

TL:DR - What should i keep, what should i sell.

So guys, i am trying to start 2024 with a mission of getting rid of stuff i don't use or atlas don't need.

Under "review" today is my IT stash and moreover, my Plex kit.

I Currently only run my Plex box for my house and some family members have access, i watch when i am working away etc. and for the most part it all works fine, the odd time Buffering or constant issues with 4K content but hey.

I am just starting out with Home Assistant, which i have used to sound my Sonos kit when my Unifi Doorbell is pressed.

I Run a Synology DS1817+ with 112TB, this hosts Docker for my Radarr, Sonarr, Plex, rUtorrent, Jacket, Flaresolverr and Home Assistant.

I Also have in my rack; now unused BUT i did plan on upgrading or extending my Plex server above:

Qnap - TVS-663 - 18TB

Qnap - TS-832XY-RP - 48TB

Netgear Readynas 2120-2 - 48TB

Couple of Dell Poweredge R510s and an R710 with dual 16core Xeons and 128GB RAM

A Wartercooled Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX 32-Core with 32GB RAM

I have a bunch of NUC's and Optiplex PC's i could use as "nodes" or "hosts"

I am trying to clear some space and recoup some costs since ive retired this hardware so i dont NEED to use any of it BUT if you guys can think of some big improvements, lets talk :-)

PS, i have a 1GB leased line at home with full Unifi Stack, Dream machine pro and pro switches with 10GB backbones and all U6 Enterprise AP's (4)

So i have not bought any of this kit other than the DS1817 for Plex, it was all bought for other business related tasks and has since been retired (replaced) so rather than going to the grave yard i thought - ill re-use this kit since it has been invested in already.

If i can create a better setup then i am all for that!

I have the 10GB as i had some servers presented to ESX using iSCSI from the NAS for Veeam repo.
