So if you invite a couple of mates over to watch a movie what do you generally chow down on (aside from the fosters)?

For me it's usually pizza cause it's quick easy and tasty, but it's a bit boring. I'm thinking I should get a bit more inventive with movie snacks. :D

What do you usually get in for a sesh in front of the box?

Fosters?

Nachos or Pizza for sure, anything you can grab and eat. Curry is a bit too involved as far as eating/watching I'd say.

Popcorn, pringles etc etc

Homemade bread with butter or olive oil, don't really need anything else on the bread. Preferably fresh, but if not, toasted. If you want a more "pizza like" bread you could make Stromboli.

Or if you're too lazy then a baguette with a clove of garlic mixed in with partly melted butter and a sprinkle of mixed herbs and a pinch of pepper. Home made garlic bread! :D

Yeah. Or peanut butter cheese on toast. Slice of bread, butter, peanut butter, slices of cheddar, grill it. I had this once, it was nice :p

Hmmmm

Sets the scene - invites mates round for movie, half way through I fetch the munchies in (Bread and butter).

Me- Here you go dudes, munchies are ready.

Mates - WTF is this? get on the phone now and order some pizzas... dont EVER do this again.

Me - Ok wtf was I thinking

:D

We always phone stuff in when theres a group of us getting together. We usually go with a few different pizzas and some chips/chicken pakora/onion rings.

You don't want anything that requires a knife and or fork. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want to hear forks hitting plates while watching a film. Pizza, Nachos, Popcorn or pretty much anything you can pick up and eat with your hands is a winner.

lol. I suppose if it's a full meal you want then yeah only bread is a bad idea. I was thinking more of just a snack to eat while watching the movie.

I don't think my mates would be too impressed with a bit of bread and butter either tbh :p

It would have to be REALLY good bread and butter.

Why not go for some hummus with toasted pitta breads and other such dips if you're getting bored of pizza/doritos.

Chicken wings, a couple of kilo's cost £3-£3.50 and with a spice mix like jerk or cajun sprinkled on them they're always a winner. Oven or grill they're easy to cook and they'll keep.
